The world’s largest international real estate fair, held in Cannes, France, once again brought together over 20,000 investors, developers, and industry professionals from across the globe. At an event showcasing some of the most ambitious urban and tourism development projects, Albania’s portfolio drew significant attention, most notably the “Marina Orikum” project, developed by Concord Group, the country’s largest investment group.
Presented within the Albania Pavilion among approximately 85 development projects, Marina Orikum quickly emerged as one of the most visited highlights of the exhibition. Representatives of Concord Group held numerous meetings and discussions, exploring potential partnerships and investment opportunities with a wide range of international stakeholders.
The project aims to transform the Orikum area into a premier coastal destination, combining a state-of-the-art yacht marina, set to be the largest in the region, with luxury residences, five-star hospitality facilities, and high-end tourism services. Designed as a multifunctional destination, the concept blends upscale living, tourism, and recreational experiences in one of the most picturesque locations along the Albanian Riviera.
The architectural vision has been developed by Austrian architect Chris Precht, internationally recognized for his innovative approach that integrates contemporary design with nature and sustainability. His concept for Marina Orikum seeks to create a modern development that respects the surrounding landscape while positioning the area as an attractive destination for international tourism.
The strong interest generated at MIPIM 2026 underscores not only the project’s potential, but also the growing attention Albania is receiving from global investors in the tourism and real estate sectors. Marina Orikum is widely regarded as a development capable of significantly elevating tourism standards in the country, further positioning the Albanian Riviera on the map of elite Mediterranean destinations.
